Together with two entrepreneurial friends,  we are developing an online collaboration platform.

It is a platform for people and organizations that need online tools for collaborating on the
development of products but feel constraint by the functionality and scope of existing software.
The platform combines social networking, project management and a collaborative working-
environment, which are three necessary elements for generating innovation.
The platform adds a fourth element by allowing you to open-source your project.

This means you can collaborate within a closed environment, but you can also open up the project
in an open-source way. It uses creative commons and open source licences for content that
is open-sourced.

The platform aims to be a support for the growing amount of open-design / co-creation projects
that are taking place, and to help spur their development. It offers those projects a superb
collaboration tool. Secondly it connects different projects and people with each other to stimulate
the exchange of ideas and knowledge.

We have worked on the design and concept for this platform for 1,5 year and are thrilled that
we have recently teamed up with two brilliant coders to start coding the software.
At the moment we are looking for organizations and companies that are interested in implementing
this platform into their organisation, and for existing communities of open projects that want to
join us on an exiting journey of open-innovation.

The tray is a result of our ongoing research into bio-composites. The first series of the tray
are made using biobased resin. This makes that there is still a small amount of synthetic
material in the resin. When production numbers increase it will be possible manufacture the
tray out of a combination of flax-fibers and PLA, which is a natural plastics derived out of corn.
The flax-composite material is very promising. It delivers great strength, even out-
performancing glass-fiber, still it is 100% a renewable and bio-degradable material.

The final goal of our design and research process is to create a number of furniture pieces
with it and showing the capabilities of the material.
A slim, strong, natural shape developed for the tray.
This allows us to create a lightweight product, using as little material as possible.
